  1. The reaction you described the children having to Santa Claus made me laugh. It’s just such a strange European legacy to appropriate; because so few men look like that here. Giggles. To be quite honest with you, I would cry too. But, thankfully we didn’t have those in Westmoreland when I was growing up.

You can discuss so many theories surrounding why children are afraid of Santa. Is it just the physical appearance, a subconscious reaction as postcolonial subjects or a combination?
