I have heard many conspiracy theories in my life, ranging from 9/11 being an inside job to us living in a simulation. Most of these sounded absolutely ridiculous to me but there’s one that stood out….

The theory of the existence of a secret society called: “The ILLUMINATI”

Yeah. Trust me, it’s spookier than it sounds.

The Illuminati is said to be an exclusive, global, secret organisation made up of celebrities and the political elite that band together in order to run the world and control the minds of all of mankind. It is said that in order to join this organisation, one must sell their soul to the devil by offering a human sacrifice. Therefore, once a member always a member. The only way out is death. This has birthed many theories blaming the Illuminati for the deaths of celebrities such as Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, Whitney Houston and Marilyn Manroe.

Why would anyone wanna be a part of something so cult-like?

MONEY, FAME & POWER.

I remember the first time I heard about this like it was just yesterday. I was a 14 year old girl eager to learn about God in Sunday School. Little did I know that on that day I would become aware of one of the biggest theories in modern day history. It all started with us talking about the messages portrayed in popular music. You know, drugs, sex and violence. Our Sunday School teacher, Ms Blake, started out by telling us the importance of guarding our souls. We should do this by being picky about the content we consume such as the shows we watch and the music we listen to. In order to bring her message across, she read and explained to us the meaning behind the lyrics of some of our favourite songs. 

” When the devil was in Heaven, he was in charge of music. Therefore, it is now his medium for controlling the minds of us humans. In order to control us, he uses influential individuals such as celebrities and politicians, who form a secret society called “The Illuminati”. “

When I first heard about this group I thought it was definitely a hoax. Some questions I had included:

Why would anyone sell their soul for fame? How does Satan have the power to give someone fame, money and success as a result of selling their soul to him?

Even though these questions have remained unanswered, the older I get the more I notice things beginning to add up. For example, the strong presence of Satan in the entertainment industry supports the belief that many celebrities have sold their souls to him.

In recent times, I have noticed that the entertainment industry is no longer hiding its Satanism. Once upon a time, they would drop little hints in tv shows and songs that would only be noticeable upon proper inspection. Today, in music videos, song performances and on tv shows we will see imagery that is noticeably satanic such as depictions of satan and his fallen angels. 

An example of one such instance is Sam Smith’s 2023 Grammy Awards performance of his song “Unholy” in which he was seen in a fully red outfit and a hat with devil horns. Another instance is a scene in the music video for Lil Nas X’s song, Montero in which he is seen dressed as a fallen angel descending into hell.  Additionally, one of Netflix’s most popular shows, titled “Lucifer”, is centred around the devil living on Earth and portrays him as charming and loveable. There’s a difference between educating others about the devil and glorifying him. Today’s entertainment industry seems to be doing the latter. 

However, the glorification of Satan does not stop at just visual imagery. It can be seen in the lyrics of popular songs of today such as “Kill Bill” by Sza, “Paint the Town Red” by Doja Cat and “Side by Side” by Ariana Grande.

Based on these observations, the Illuminati is definitely real and they have been hiding in plain sight.
