In an education system with many flaws and big issues, a backpack should be the least of Jamaica’s school problems. Considering that there are already so many hindrances to creative expression in school from hair height and styling, the fact that this country utilizes uniforms etc., students choosing to express themselves through their backpack designs should not stop them from receiving their education. Though I do not agree with the ‘dunce’ movement currently going on, the least the education system can do is allow students to express their creativity through these backpacks because one’s creative expression is a very important thing to maintain.
