The Digital Humanities is basically digitalized tools and technology which incorporates creative and critical thinking. There are several multi dimensional platforms which are used for social interaction, educational integration and even marketing.

My name is Felecia Ashman. I am a finalizing student at the University of the West Indies. My favourite part of my degree is the Literature element of it. I absolutely love education and I have the passion to inform. “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.” –Martin Luther King, Jr.

  1. Hi Felicia, Can can you add a line or two of text to intro you and the article that you discuss in the episode? Essentially, can you include an intro to you as podcast host and an episode description on this page?

  2. Felecia, I really love that you used the podcast format. It was really nice to be able to listen to your voice rather than hear my own, reading your words, in my head. My suggestion for you is to ensure that you speak a little louder into your microphone the next time as the audio was a bit quiet. I’d also say to be careful of sounds and movements being made while you are recording because the mic picks that all up.

Hi Felecia, a podcast? Ambitious! Appreciate the summary but it felt abrupt. I’d recommend proofreading a bit. Your tone is very soothing, and you enunciate well, good traits for being on the mic. Not sure if it was just on my end but you sounded a bit low, maybe use software that boosts the volume if doesn’t ruin the crispness? Good job,

  4. Great idea on doing a podcast. You presented an interesting analysis, my response was also to Gold’s article on the digital humanities. There was some background noise and your voice was a little low at some points so be more aware of those when recording. You can also do some proofreading and editing to refine any grammatical errors in your post.

  5. Love that you used a podcast to deliver this. I do notice that the audio was very low even on max volume for me, so not sure if that’s an indication that your audio needed some volume boosting in post-production, or that your mic wasn’t positioned well.

  6. Hey Felecia! I like the fact that you choose a podcast. Your audio sounded on my computer. My only suggestion is when you doing audio try to plan and study what you’re going to say before you start recording and use cue cards. You have a nice voice btw.
