Safety

Safety is important.

I had just left the hospital, a little sore and exhausted. Been in labour for 6 hours made me a little frustrated even though our baby boy Josiah was perfect, I was still tired. We had paid for the amenity of a private space but I still watched over my baby because of the high missing babies after birth. When you arrived to take me home, I was elated. The relief to get home so I could get some rest in my comfortable bed. You packed my things, headed out then a porter assisted us to the car.  I slowly entered the car as you place Josiah in his car seat. Already uncomfortable when you made what I call a malicious drive as if you were the only one sitting in the vehicle. I really don’t know if you saw the anger on my face and that I wanted to yelled when you said “I’m sorry, I just wanted to get you home quickly”. The excuse was so poor for driving so reckless with not only me but a baby that we had worked and prayed so diligently. We had struggled with fertility issues for a period in our lives which broke me but you were supportive. Knowing this, led to how I lost it, “the only damn person in haste is you, you the only person that leave pot pan fire. Driving to shake up what was left inside of me as though you need to go catch something. You saying sorry but you really careless and oblivious about the negative effects of driving like that”.

Take look at the rate of Road fatality….

With road fatality at 14.23, I would never desire to be make up such statistic and will never drive so carelessly. The importance of being safe on the road is necessary, you want to leave home and return in a one piece and nor pieces. BE SAFE ON THE ROAD.
