Imagine living in a society where women are deprived of their autonomy and free will. Being expected to cater to man’s way of living. There are more damaging stories about gender inequity than there are of society making a strong movement against it. There is always a fake stigma that women are sensitive beings and they rely on men. That is far from the truth. Don’t get me wrong. I am aware that people are standing up for the rights of women, but tell me the last time you can recall that “movement” being shown in our society. Being an SHE comes with concerns, pain, and aches, and there is a lot of work to be done. The inequities of binaries and discrimination towards women with various skin tones can last longer than we anticipate.
Even though you might not agree, men also struggle with gender discrimination. You ought to be allowed to be yourself and to express your feelings, you shouldn’t let stigma hold you back; instead, just be who you are. Instead of arguing, let’s work together and go on this journey together. If only we could see that we are all equal, we learn the most when change is at its core.
If not now, when? Who, if not us? This movement needs to generate interest. Equality is a fundamental human right, not a privilege. Everyone on the gender spectrum should be able to shine brightly.
