Businesses have always leaped at the potential to use technical advancements to improve operations and gain an advantage over rivals. These days, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are arguably two of the hottest emerging technologies to watch. We have all been told at least once in our lives that technology makes things easier and more convenient for us, plus it saves of a lot of time. Life without certain technology would be unimaginable in our modern day.
Augmented reality combines virtual reality and the physical world. This is typically done through applications (like Pokemon GO), but it may also be used for driving, attending sporting events, and many other things. Contrarily, virtual reality is an entirely man-made, computer-generated replica of a real-life experience. To fully immerse the user, this often requires the use of a virtual reality headset, such the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive (humavox, 2016).
We are always informed on the good side of these technologies but not the bad. It would be interesting to find out the pros and cons of both of these addictive systems.
